El Corazon

These checkerboard garnet and rose quartz briolette earrings were crafted with upcycled 10k yellow gold from a delicate vintage brooch vintage brooch, likely from the 1920s.

The brooch was carefully disassembled, rearranged, and reassembled using some new 14k gold. Their new form suggests the unexpectedly modern silhouette  of an anatomical heart, while the the details maintain the classical intricacy of the original brooch. These earrings are a truly unique take on the popular heart motif.
